From Toreas

The Ancients were the human beings that lived on the world everyone calls Toreas, before the Impact. Toreas current inhabitants have a basic ancestry with them, but have over the years attributed godlike attributes to the ancients that they themselves to not posses, like longevity or immortality even.

They were supposed to have large machines to do work for them but were also masters over magic.

Many legends surround the ancients, places of theirs but also items that have been found over time.
