Day of Awakening

As the ancients saw their doom coming with the impact, they created underground chambers in which many could survive the event. An unknown time after the impact happened, all of these chambers stopped working at the same time and the survivors emerged from those chambers. This day of emerging is called the day of awakening and sometimes still referenced in sayings or locations.
